First trip to Joann's
My first time at Joann's! I went to the one in Bellingham, WA since Canada doesn't have Joann's. I got me a new clover crochet hook and some stitch markers, the ones I have were breaking for some reason. I've had them for awhile and they never broke on me until now. So I thought I would try some new ones. I was also missing a desk light so I got an LED one at Joann's. It was 50% off and small enough to store away if I didn't want it cluttering up my work area. The downside is that it uses batteries. It can be plugged in with a charger but they don't include one! Doesn't make sense! @_@

A Walk Down Memory Lane Pt. 2
This is a doll bed I made a couple years back. It's very easy to make and a good project for parents to do with kids too!
Supplies:
- large rectangular box (big enough for matchbox drawers)
- 3 matchboxes
- some ribbon
- 2 of those plastic safety corners for desks (I got mine at daiso)
- cardboard big enough to fit inside the box
- X-Acto knife (wiki link here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/X-Acto)
- scissors
- glue
Optional supplies:
- paper to glue on top of rectangular box to make it prettier
- modge podge (for paper projects)
- paint (if you do not want to modge podge the surface of the bed)
Please let me know if my pictures are not clear! and you can click the pictures for bigger ones. :D
All you need to do is to make a mattress now! :D

Mr. Penguin
I started Mr. Penguin during my trip to Victoria. He has evolved from a wingless chicken to a sophisticated wing-flapping, bow-tie-wearing, cover-up-my-bald-spot cutie. :)
He has since flown away to a new home~
This is what he looked like before his hat and tie (Sorry about the blurriness, phone picture)
I got some new books too.
